Cleanroom environments are used to control unwanted elements from the air and staff contaminating the microelectronics manufacturing processes. Much effort goes into controlling the humidity and temperature of cleanroom environments and similar levels of control are applied with water and chemical use at these sites.
Water quality is of particular importance for the manufacture of semiconductor wafers, flat panel displays, photovoltaics, data storage and the chemicals used to make these devices.
