An area where pre-filtration is required is in high-pressure water jetting applications, used predominantly for cleaning and cutting.
Typically using plunger type reciprocating pumps to produce the very high pressures required (400-3000 bar), an ingress of solids to this type of pump will cause damage and lack of efficiency. The pumps are often pre-filtered to 5 or 1 micron, typically with bag or depth cartridges.
Stages of Filtration & Water Treatment
Bulk Solids Removal
To remove a high quantity of solids, gels and other irregular shaped particles, a filtration solution with high surface area and flow properties is required.

SPECTRUM Premier Bag
Multiple pre-filter and microfibre layers of the Premier bag offers graded filtration as well as efficient particle removal. WRAS approved and FDA compliant.

SPECTRUM TruDepth Standard Spun-Bonded Cartridge
Boasting WRAS approval over the ESP, the TruDepth Standard is the best value option for general particulate reduction. With a recognisable mini-grooved construction, the SSP has a higher surface area and enhanced dirt holding capacity over the TruDepth Economic cartridge (ESP).

Pentair 10″ Bag Housing & Bag Filters
The popular 10” Pentair PBH is a corrosion resistant polypropylene bag filter housing constructed to give strength without the weight of typical stainless steel options, making them ideal for applications with low-flow, chemical compatibility, space restrictions or economic requirements. This 10” PBH-410 housing comes with gauge, bag support basket, spanner and drain valve. Bag filters to suit this system are the BP-410 (polypropylene) or BN-410 (nylon).
