Endoscope AER

Larger medical devices and systems will often include filtration built-in to the assembly. An example of this is filter cartridges installed in housings in Automated Endoscope Reprocessors (AER), air vents included in autoclaves, capsules included in washer disinfectors.

The majority of these applications are to produce bacteria free water so the typical cartridge cascade would be as shown below.
